THE FIRST SHOW
Coldplay played their first ever show in 'The Laurel Tree' in Camden, a district in London, UK. But they didn't play this show as Coldplay, they were called Starfish for their first few gigs.
BIZARRE FESTIVAL
Their album parachutes just came out and they were invited to the German Bizarre Festival to play a small show of 45 minutes. There was a small crowd since they weren't really popular back then, luckily for them there was one member in the audience who owned their album. (Timestamp 5:40) This concert was also a part of their parachutes tour.
SUPPORTING U2 AT SLANE CASTLE
Coldplay supported the rock-band U2 on their gig at Slane Castle. U2 played here as a support to the band Thin Lizzy twenty years prior, now in 2001 they brought along Coldplay as their support act.
GLASTONBURY
Coldplays first gig as headliners. This was a pretty big deal, their album a rush of blood to the head would be releasing soon!
LIVE 2003
This is the tour for the album 'A rush of blood to the head' they've gained quite some populairity now. In comparision with the Bizarre Festival this crowd is massive! And a lot more people owned parachutes of course..
COLDPLAY AT COACHELLA
Coldplays first time at Coachella. A music festival based in Indio, Calafornia, USA. It is one of America's biggest festivals.
THE IN MY PLACE RUN
TWISTED LOGIC TOUR 2005/2006
Every night on the twisted logic tour Chris would do a run through the crowd during their song 'In my place'. Camera phone's were on the uprise and a lot of people captured this moment on their phone at the different concerts. It resulted in this video.
THE VIVA CHANT
At every single tour, everytime Viva La Vida would play or even before or after the show, people would chant the famous 'woah-oh's of their Viva La Vida song. People always manage to do it in perfect harmony somehow.
CHARLIE BROWN
Charlie Brown is possibly one of my favorite songs by them and live it's amazing. It's very energetic and the crowd is always in a good mood. The added bonus of the wristbands, named Xylobands, is a beautiful sight to behold with all the different rainbow colors.
INK
The Ghost Stories tour was very small and intimate. They only did a total of 9 shows and compared to the 100's of shows they did on other album tours this is of course a massive difference. I had to include this tour since this album produced some great songs, Ink is by far my favorite.
AMSTERDAM IN.. AMSTERDAM
Coldplay has a song called Amsterdam, and they played it in Amsterdam. I just had to include this one.
A HEAD FULL OF DREAMS
The beginning song of the A head full of dreams tour. Paired with a speech of making life a wonderfull adventure.
